SMS Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: October 8, 2026
The terms governing SMS and MMS communications from VanderNet Technology Services, including consent, message types, frequency, opt-out options, and your rights.
1. Overview
These SMS Terms & Conditions ("SMS Terms") govern text messaging communications sent by or on behalf of VanderNet Technology Services ("VanderNet," "we," "us," or "our") to individuals who have provided the authorization required for the applicable messaging program.
VanderNet provides cybersecurity, managed information technology, consulting, and related business technology services.
Our messaging programs are intended to facilitate communication with customers, prospective customers, business contacts, and other individuals who choose to receive applicable communications.
By enrolling in a VanderNet SMS program, you agree to these SMS Terms for that program. Enrollment and participation are voluntary, and the scope of your consent is determined by the disclosures presented when you enroll and applicable law.
2. Types of Messages
VanderNet may operate one or more SMS or MMS messaging programs for the following purposes:
Customer Service and Business Communications
- Responses to inquiries and consultation requests
- Appointment confirmations and reminders
- Customer support and service communications
- Account and service-related notices
- Scheduling and follow-up communications
- Operational, maintenance, or security-related updates
- Other non-promotional communications reasonably associated with services requested or received
Marketing and Promotional Communications
- Information about VanderNet products and services
- Cybersecurity education and awareness campaigns
- Invitations to webinars, workshops, and events
- Company news and announcements
- Special offers, promotions, or other marketing communications
Marketing and non-marketing messages are separate categories. Consent to receive one category does not automatically constitute consent to receive another.
The specific messages you receive will depend on the messaging program in which you enroll, your consent preferences, and your relationship with VanderNet.
3. Consent to Receive Text Messages
VanderNet obtains consent to send text messages as required by applicable law and relevant messaging-provider requirements.
Consent may be obtained through authorized methods, including website forms, electronic forms, written agreements, or other legally permitted and appropriately documented processes.
Where required, consent disclosures will identify the sending business, the general purpose of the messages, and the applicable messaging terms.
By affirmatively enrolling in a messaging program, you authorize VanderNet to send messages within the scope of the consent you provided to the designated mobile telephone number.
Where applicable, this authorization includes the use of automated messaging technology.
Consent to receive marketing or promotional text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from VanderNet.
Merely providing a phone number, submitting an inquiry, or entering into a customer relationship does not, by itself, establish consent to receive marketing text messages.
VanderNet may provide certain non-marketing communications where otherwise permitted by applicable law, subject to applicable consent requirements and communication preferences.
We reserve the right to decline, restrict, or discontinue messaging where consent cannot be adequately verified or where continued messaging may violate applicable law, carrier requirements, or our internal policies.
4. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies depending on the messaging program, your consent preferences, and your interactions with VanderNet.
For example, appointment-related messages may be sent in connection with scheduled meetings, while customer service messages may be sent as needed to address a request. Marketing messages may be sent periodically to individuals who have provided the applicable consent.
We do not guarantee a specific number of messages unless a particular messaging program expressly provides one.
Message frequency disclosures presented at enrollment will apply to the corresponding program.
5. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply to messages sent to or received from VanderNet.
Charges depend on your wireless service plan and carrier. VanderNet is not responsible for charges imposed by your mobile service provider.
Contact your wireless carrier for information regarding your messaging or data plan.
6. Opting Out and Revoking Consent
You may withdraw your consent to receive text messages at any time.
To opt out, reply STOP to a text message from the applicable VanderNet messaging number.
We also recognize other reasonable requests to discontinue messaging, including requests communicated through our available customer service channels.
We will process valid opt-out requests as promptly as reasonably practicable and within the period required by applicable law.
After your request has been processed, you will no longer receive messages covered by that request, except for any legally permitted confirmation or other communications for which a separate lawful basis exists.
You may receive a one-time message confirming your opt-out.
Where a request is unclear as to its scope, we may seek clarification when legally permitted, without delaying any opt-out that applicable law requires us to honor.
Opting out of marketing communications does not automatically terminate an underlying service agreement or prevent communications through other legally permitted channels.
To resume a messaging program after opting out, you must provide the applicable authorization again.
VanderNet reserves the right to discontinue any SMS program or remove a telephone number from its messaging systems when reasonably necessary.
You may contact us to opt out or request assistance at: Email: hello@vandernet.io Phone: (417) 973-0365
7. Assistance and Customer Support
For assistance with VanderNet text messaging, reply HELP to a message from the applicable messaging number.
SMS messaging is not intended to replace established technical support procedures, emergency communications, or contractual incident-reporting channels.
For urgent cybersecurity or business-impacting technical issues, customers should use the support procedures established under their applicable service agreements.

8. Privacy and Protection of Mobile Information
VanderNet respects the privacy of individuals participating in our messaging programs.
We use mobile telephone numbers and related messaging information for legitimate business communications, consent administration, message delivery, customer support, compliance, and other purposes described in our Privacy Policy.
Mobile Information and Consent Sharing
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We do not sell or rent SMS subscriber lists or transfer messaging consent for use in another organization's independent marketing campaigns.
We may use authorized technology and communications providers, including customer relationship management and messaging platforms, to administer and deliver messages on our behalf, subject to appropriate safeguards and applicable obligations.
For additional information, please review our Privacy Policy at https://vandernet.io/privacy-policy.
9. Accuracy of Telephone Information
By enrolling in a messaging program, you represent that you are authorized to provide the mobile telephone number submitted and to consent to messages at that number.
You agree to provide accurate contact information and to notify VanderNet if your number changes or you no longer have authority to use it.
Because telephone numbers may be reassigned, VanderNet may take reasonable steps to verify contact information, update communication preferences, or discontinue messaging when appropriate.
VanderNet may rely on properly documented consent to the extent permitted by applicable law, but retains responsibility for complying with applicable messaging requirements.
10. Messaging Technology and Service Providers
VanderNet may use third-party communications platforms, customer relationship management systems, telecommunications providers, and automated workflows to facilitate messaging services.
Messages may be transmitted using software-based communication tools, including automated systems where authorized and legally permitted.
Our use of messaging technology does not expand the scope of the consent originally provided by a recipient.
Messaging service providers may apply their own technical standards, acceptable-use requirements, and delivery restrictions.
VanderNet may modify or suspend messaging functionality when reasonably necessary to meet applicable carrier, platform, security, or legal requirements.
11. Message Delivery and Availability
Text message delivery is dependent on factors outside VanderNet's reasonable control, including wireless carrier systems, device compatibility, signal availability, service provider performance, and network conditions.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
VanderNet does not guarantee that messages will be received within a specific timeframe or that SMS services will be uninterrupted.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, VanderNet is not responsible for delivery failures, interruptions, or delays caused by wireless carriers, third-party networks, recipient devices, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Nothing in these SMS Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
12. Security and Sensitive Information
Standard SMS and MMS communications may not provide end-to-end encryption and should not be treated as a secure channel for transmitting sensitive information.
Please do not send passwords, authentication codes, financial account details, Social Security numbers, protected health information, or other highly sensitive information through ordinary text messages unless VanderNet has specifically provided an appropriate, authorized method for doing so.
VanderNet may direct individuals to more secure communication channels when necessary.
Recipients should exercise reasonable caution when receiving unexpected messages or links and may contact VanderNet through its published contact information to verify a communication.
13. Compliance with Applicable Laws
VanderNet intends to administer its messaging programs in accordance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and relevant industry requirements, including those governing consent, telemarketing, consumer privacy, and electronic communications.
Messaging practices may vary when reasonably necessary to comply with requirements applicable to a particular recipient, message category, jurisdiction, or communication method.
Where applicable law provides protections or rights that exceed the provisions of these SMS Terms, the applicable law will control.
Nothing in these SMS Terms is intended to waive, restrict, or diminish any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived or restricted.
VanderNet may restrict or discontinue certain messaging activities in jurisdictions where additional registration, consent, disclosure, or other legal requirements apply.
14. Changes to Messaging Programs or These Terms
VanderNet may revise these SMS Terms or modify its messaging programs to reflect changes in business operations, technology, messaging-provider requirements, or applicable law.
Updated SMS Terms will be made available at https://vandernet.io/sms-terms.
The effective date at the beginning of this document will reflect the latest revision.
Where required by applicable law, VanderNet will provide additional notice or obtain new consent before implementing material changes affecting an individual's messaging authorization.
Previously granted consent will not automatically extend to materially different messaging purposes when additional authorization is legally required.
15. Relationship to Other Agreements
These SMS Terms govern participation in VanderNet's text messaging programs.
They supplement our Privacy Policy and do not replace or modify an executed Master Services Agreement, Statement of Work, or other applicable customer agreement.
If a customer agreement establishes separate requirements for service requests, incident reporting, support availability, or other operational communications, those requirements continue to govern the applicable services.
Nothing in these SMS Terms independently expands VanderNet's contractual service obligations.
