    Key Takeaways

    • 1.AI should be a Thought Partner, not a Thought Leader
    • 2.Organic, authentic communication builds real trust with customers
    • 3.Use AI for ideas and direction, but write in your own voice
    My AI vs Your AI

Living in a day when human reason and organic content don't exist.

The AI communication war is real. You get an email, and you are not sure how to respond to it... so you take it to your ChatGPT and ask it... What is the best way to respond to this? It gives you suggestions, and you are like... "Wow, that's good. I would not have thought that about that approach." Instead of taking the direction and writing a response in your own words... you say... write the response with this approach for me. So it drafts a response, and we copy, paste, and hit send.

The individual gets your email response to their original email. They think... I am not sure how to respond to this... so they copy your response into their Grok account and ask it how it would respond... The individual is shocked by how Grok would suggest they respond; they hadn't considered it. Instead of taking directions and writing a response in their own words.. they say to Grok... take what you suggested and write an email response. So it drafts a response, and they copy, paste, and hit send.

You get the picture. It is a vicious cycle. AI has taken over in good ways and not-so-good ways. When it gets to the point where we are not using the intellectual brain God created us to use, we are in error. We are unique, and we need to be careful not to abdicate our roles as the "Thought Leader" and allow AI to become the "Thought Leader" instead of our "Thought Partner".

Listen, I am a BIG fan of AI. I think we have a responsibility to use it responsibly. I think we are going to see automatic responses from people we work with that is AI generated but we have a choice. You have a choice. What I would say is this... There is nothing wrong with using it to get ideas and help clarify a direction, but when it comes to communicating with our customers or the people, we have built trust with. Let's be real and organic.

Make organic content. Be you. Use the brain God gave you. Be the Thought Leader.
